Screencasting the development of a very simple Alexa skill

Published on 2018-05-25

In this screencast, I do a super quick run through building a very generic Alexa skill using the Jovo Framework, a simple pass through web service, and basic scheduled task to make sure our skill has a fresh message each day.

It's meant more to explain how I approach little projects like this and the steps that I go through to make them happen (and the types of things your drip support of me is really backing)...so it's not nec. a great tutorial for building your own Alexa skills but if you're interested in that sort of thing, I hope it helps you out at least a little bit too (and if you want me to slow down and dig into more details that *actually* teach you this stuff, just let me know in the comments below and I'll be happy to do that in future posts).

Anyway - hope you all enjoy and please do post any questions, feedback, or thoughts in the comments below!

p.s. After publishing, I realized that the actual screen cast is a bit blurry...SORRY about that!  If/when I do more in the future, I'll make sure to export and post at a much higher resolution!
