Hello World: Updates from my studio

Published on 2018-06-04

Hihi everyone,

It has been a busy month for me, but I am really excited to share some of what is coming up! On June 15 there will be two debut shows of my new piece Frontier Study.

A three-channel version will be shown via TRANSFER Gallery's DOWNLOADinstallation taking place at the Thoma Foundation in Santa Fe. Learn more here.

A single-channel version will be shown as part of SUIS-MOI JE TE FUIS / FUIS-MOI JE TE SUIS, Curated by Benoit Mathieu Palop. LaTurbo Avedon, Gregory Chatonsky, Emilie Gervais, Milutin Gubash, Lorna Mills and Sabrina Ratté. Learn more here.

Tomorrow night, the Internet Age Media festival organizers will be joining the Somerset House Studios in London for an evening event called DEFRAG, a look at the post-technological futures of the world around us. I'll be sharing my talk that I gave in Barcelona! Learn more here.

I also had the chance to support some musicians and artists that I enjoy by making some promo materials for the FEELS festival. It happens on June 16th in Richmond, California if you're in the area! It is a really great group of people, and I try to help out by making some things for them. Here are some snippets of various items I made, not all of them got used but I wanted to share anyway! FEELS will feature live performances, DJ sets, and artwork from boundary-pushing creatives working in a wide variety of mediums. Their sixth festival features Princess Nokia, Kelis, Mykki Blanco, Lonnie Holley, and a lot of performers you should definitely see if you can. Learn more here.

I have some exciting news to share in the next month or so, stay tuned here on my Drip for some announcements! Please do drop a comment or emoji reply below if you liked this post!
