Drip update and some unfortunately-timed news

Published on 2018-10-24

Dear supporters,

Our Founding Period is now over, and this Drip page is now officially live. Thanks for coming on board in the early days - you have, I believe, a "Founding Member" badge that appears next to your name on this page to celebrate your involvement.

Your first payment should have come out yesterday. I think that's the case - please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that (Drip really isn't big on communicating the finer points of its operation). It looks like a couple of our supporters dropped off the map at this point, which is a little disappointing.

Anyway, to celebrate our launch day, here's an example of incredibly unfortunate timing. I stumbled upon this news article just a few minutes ago.

Changes to Drip? Seems to be on the cards...
Changes to Drip? Seems to be on the cards...

In short, it seems that Drip is being discontinued and replaced by another platform at some point in the next twelve months. Seems to be legit, though. Here's Kickstarter's official blog post. Here's XOXO's blog post

What does this mean for us?

I don't know at this stage, I'm sorry. I know as much as you do about this. It seems that their intention is to transition all of us as smoothly and seamlessly as possible to the new platform. What that means, I can't say.

I'm maintaining some hope that Drip will say something to its creators very shortly. (Edit: I have now received an email from them, and it broadly covered the same points as the posts linked above. There is no launch date for the new platform.)

I'm also hoping the new platform will have a few additional features that make your experience and mine even better.

While I understand that these changes may make you feel uncomfortable (believe me, I totally get that), I want you to know that I've got your back in this. As I learn things, I'll share them here. If you think that Drip's done you wrong, let me know and I'll advocate on your behalf to the best of my ability.

Hopefully, whatever changes they make will be cosmetic in nature, and we will barely notice the shift. Either way though, I'll be doing my best to make sure we're ready for it. And in the meantime, I'll keep on providing tonnes of Triumviratus pages and other perks as planned.
