The future of DR!P

Published on 2019-06-30

Dear supporters,

A while back, Kickstarter announced that Drip was going to be decommissioned, with XOXO developing a platform to replace it, something we could all transition to.

That new platform was quietly cancelled about two weeks ago.

Here's the announcement:

But you don't have to read the whole thing. Here's the salient quote.

  • So with increasingly insurmountable odds, we stopped development earlier this month. We’re working with our friends at Kickstarter to help migrate the remaining Drip beta creators elsewhere.

What does this mean?

At this stage, honestly, your guess is as good as mine. My gut feeling is that without much/any warning, one day Drip will just cease to exist, and we'll all be in limbo.

This is disappointing, of course. Being the first Australian creator from any discipline to be invited to this platform was an honour and a thrill, and I'm saddened by this turn of events.

But should that decommissioning happen suddenly, I'd love to keep delivering content to you via my Patreon page, which is a carbon copy of this Drip page.

And either way, I truly appreciate your support. It's been fantastic providing you with monthly Triumviratus instalments (and other content too), and I hope you enjoyed it too.

I'll be in touch again if any news surfaces.

Until then, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that we can at least finish off Triumviratus before Drip disappears.

If you've got any questions, I'm always available:
